Look at the heavens cloud scape acrylic painting
I am truly excited to share a captivating series of paintings that I have worked diligently on, titled "Looking Up to Heaven." This unique collection is profoundly inspired by my ongoing quest for a genuine connection with God, as I earnestly seek His divine face while frequently looking up at the endless heavens above. Since experiencing a significant injury resulting from a fall in 2012, the persistent pain has become a daily reminder of that challenging incident. At times, it feels as if the pain has lingered and overwhelmed me for just as long as the years that have passed since then. It often brings me to my knees in both despair and reflection, and the search for effective therapies and treatments can be a daunting task that affects me both physically and emotionally. In moments when answers and relief seem elusive, I find true solace in simply gazing at the expansive sky. The warmth of the sun and the grandeur of the clouds above serve as a comforting reminder of the vastness of heaven and our small yet significant place within it.
These profound reflections have led me to realize just how small I truly am in comparison to the expansive heavens above, and how my problems seem to pale in significance against the incredible greatness of God. The paintings in this enlightening series not only express my personal feelings and struggles but also incorporate meaningful scriptures that have inspired each individual piece. The first painting features a stunning cloudscape complemented by a vibrant field of flowers, drawing inspiration from the powerful words of Job 35:5: "Look at the heavens and see; and behold the clouds—they are higher than you."
Each 20x20 gallery-wrapped canvas is meticulously painted on all sides and thoughtfully ready to hang in your home, seamlessly adding to your personal space. The technique utilized throughout the collection is impasto, along with expressive palette knife work, which brings a tactile quality that resonates beautifully with the overarching themes of the series.
